Message from the OC:
Cave lupum, meaning ‘Beware the wolf’ is the motto of 1330 (Warrington) Squadron Air Training Corps. The squadron is situated at the western most extremity of the Greater Manchester Wing that formed in 2011. 1330 (Warrington) Squadron joined the new wing from one of its predecessors, East Cheshire and South Manchester Wing.
The squadron is based at Peninsula Barracks which we share with the Army Cadets and 75 Engineer Regiment of the Army Reserves. Our building is so named after former Chief of the Air Staff, Marshall of the Royal Air Force Arthur William Tedder, 1st Baron Tedder, GCB, who was instrumental during many operations of WW2 and a re-sculpting commander of the RAF in the years following.
We offer many opportunities, with both aviation and ground based themes, which help young people to develop as individuals and good citizens. Training at the squadron is delivered by a team of highly motivated and committed Cadet Force Adult Volunteers who give up their time freely to support the young people that we serve.
